Just so you know, Briana decides to be so damn honest, she posted EVERY single picture. Ugly, fat, oily looking face and those weird pictures that lousy people take, because they make my legs look chubby and short.
Catholic High School Senior Promenade Ball
2009, Mystical Twilight. Part II
Jin says, I need 5 couples to play a game.
My supportive table mates shouted BRIANA! And poor Eddy was sacrificed as my play date.
Jin says, what do girls do best? They BLOW, *pauses*, balloons.
And he had to add in, of course girls blow lahh.
Ve Kenn (second left) seems like he doesn’t give a damn. But I can’t help but notice how happy and joyful Eddy and Zhong Yao (is that his name?) looks. Yaloh Eddy, damn fun horh *insidejoke*
The balloon was placed in between the guy’s legs and we had to sit on their lap to burst it. Sounds damn wrong I know. Yeah, But look at Ve Kenn’s face, he looks like he’s damn high.
And I suck at this lah, we cheated, Eddy burst the balloon with his hands.
Briana, holding her crotch camera.
Was seriously seriously disappointed when I wasn’t nominated as Prom King, but then who knew?
Catholic High School, your first Prom Queen nominee is Briana Leong *stoned*
Second Prom Queen nominee, Chin Shih Xuan aka Miss socialite of Catholic High School.
Photos with Shih Xuan, I loved her dress since the day I saw it at her blog. Pretty pretty.
Shih Xuan and I said we wanted to win for World Peace, hah!
Third Prom Queen nominee, Sue Ping, in her hot red dress.
I swear the Emcee looked at me like I was siao kah when I announced that I initially wanted to win Prom King.
Prom King nominees: Do some sick and X-rated dance. Jun Yong was sticking his crotch to some poor dude! hahahaha. And Yi Chin was fabulous, his is just so hilarious doing an indian dance lah.
Prom Queen nominees: Spell your name with your butt.
I thought die, I have to do this in front of 400 of my high school mates.
I thought die die, Prom Queen nominee number 1 goes first.
I thought die die die, I was wearing such short shorts.
I died happily, because, BRIANA is not as bad, or as long as SHIHXUAN or SUEPING. hahahaha, and they have this ugly alphabet called “S” summore.
My favourite part was Jun Yong kneeling down to Sue Ping and said “ Sue Ping, you’re my flower, and I’m your watering can” Pure. classic. ahahahaha

I went for Choir practice before Prom. When I woke up, I looked terrible. I was sick and tired. Since then, I wasn’t able to eat properly or sleep in that case. It was always between, holding my breath till three and sleep a haunting nightmare or not sleep at all, until I see the sunlight shining at my pink bedroom walls.
The minute before leaving my place and heading to the saloon, I was still wondering to go or not to go, to wear a dress or not to wear a dress. Remember I told you, I didn’t want to wear some short shorts and pull my hair back into a sleek ponytail. I wanted to wear a midnight blue dress, wear my hair in curls, and hold your hand while we walk down that red red carpet. I rather not stand out and got nominated for Prom court, I rather blend into the crowd with you. Weird I found the exact same paragraph from Sue Ping’s blog.
I don’t know why I am saying this anymore.
The first part of prom, was me feeling low, constantly wanting to cry but full of pride as usual. I cannot stand people mentioning your name. Watching the video had me wanting to strut off and leave. Eddy holding my hand had me thinking, you have big hands like that too.
Standing on the stage, with the lights on me, I couldn’t see anyone from the crowd, but I couldn’t help but wonder what were you thinking that very very moment. Happy maybe? Sad maybe?
So I didn’t win. I walked half of the stairs, and made a phone call. I was facing the glassy dark night. I saw your figure from behind, and before I could even react, you rushed down stairs like you were crazy. I ran after you. You stopped, and I stopped, I was keeping my distance. It seems like forever until we decided to go for a walk.
That walk, the way you looked and the things I said, is going to stay inside my heart forever, that’s for sure. So I held your hand, and we walked back to the ballroom. People were staring, but it doesn’t really matter anymore. Because before going in, you smiled for the first time after so many endless nights, and said “friends?” I laughed and laughed and laughed. And told you you look funny in braces. So we hugged and di other stuff, and everyone looked, but like I said, it doesn’t matter. I couldn’t ask for better.
That hug. Makes me think of band concert you know? You still smell the same. Remember what I whispered in your ear, ok ? Because I will remember that moment. That true relief, that true joy.
So we danced, people were still looking, and still it doesn’t matter. People look, point and talk all the time. I had a lot of those when I went back to school for Chinese paper. Some guys came to slap your back, some girls grinned at me, some guys gave you thumbs up, some girls started waving at me while laughing. But who needs to explain at this moment?
Thank you for letting me move on, thank you for the things you’ve done, thank you for the memories. I’m glad that I had a beautiful last dance, and moreover, it was with you.
I slept so well that night. Because I had a proper ending, turns out, that was what I needed all along. The next day, I ate a quarter of my godma’s turkey, my appetite came back too. Today, I still think about it, but it’s not hard you know? Not hard not hard at all.
And I thank everyone, all the messages, all the care and all the love. Briana is Ok now.

A lot of people cried that night. Because it was the end, the real end, closure, like how Kenn puts it. There will be no more days like these, no more nights like these, no more high school, and 2009 ended as quickly as it came.
This whole year felt like a dream. I was planning Gerko day, I was nominated as Vice President for Choir, I remained friends with a senior, I got chosen to lead Green House in decoration, I performed in the legendary Band Concert, I fell in and out of love.
There are people from school that I will remember, but there are only a few that I strongly believe will stick with me for a life time. I never wrote about graduation, guess it didn’t feel like it was OVER, like how prom made everyone feel.
High school was like a meteor, don’t you think so?
Good or bad, 5 years at Catholic high school is filled with memories. I can see myself back in form 1, 2, 3… I’m truly glad for everything that happened, for the friends that I made and the jokes that I told. I was ugly, bitchy, annoying and everything terrible in the beginning. But I changed my hair, changed my glasses, changed how I speak, changed how I walked, change myself. I can truly tell you the first few years of my high school is horrendous, but it was great after all. Hello, I was awesome at prom. How is that not great?
I never got as much attention as I did during prom night, compare it with my pallid beginnings in Catholic High, it felt good. Thanks for telling me I looked hot, sexy, cool or whatever. Thanks for telling me I should’ve won, thanks for cheering for me.
But know that it really doesn’t matter, I feel like a winner already. ( I heard it was close right?) And Sue Ping was really hot (; I mean it.
She deserves it as much as I do, so please stop being nasty to her.
Cat walk, down that red carpet.
Remember how Jin the Emcee asked me how would I feel if I won Prom Queen? And I honestly said that it would be the happiest night of my high school life?
Well I did not win, but
The thing is, because of you, because of all my friends,
I already felt the happiest.
So this is how my high school ends. Beautiful or not? (;
