The night before Harry Potter, Lynnette Mel and I went for late dinner at this new place in SS2, Upstairs Cafe and Bakery. The name reminds me of an Italian restaurant that I usually go with my mates when I was doing my Pre-U in LinKou, Taiwan, it’s called 2F (Second Floor :), the concept of the name is similar right? Upstairs = 2F, no? Okay, fine –.- Whatever, lol.
The food was average but the place is quiet and spacious, plus, it’s super affordable. Great for meetings or revisions, a replacement for McDees! Cause that’s what my friends and I do, sit there all day and have discussions.
I know that lately there’s been this crazy frenzy for macaroons all of a sudden (I don’t know why lah, maybe it’s Gossip Girl), and they do offer this delicate dessert at Upstairs Cafe and Bakery. So you can go ahead and try it out. Though from reading reviews, macaroons are just sickly sweet and this craze will probably die down after some time, just like what happened to cupcakes, or doughnuts.
