Go, listen to Lady Gaga - Blueberry Kisses and pucker up.
I’m so fond of above picture.
Because there’s something about beaches, white clothing and messy buns. Oh, & because I’m fan of Amanda Seyfried and Blake Lively.
Sorry for the long absence, just needed time for myself.
That’s what I’m moulding myself to do, a new habit of retreating and breathing. To take some time off whatever I’m doing, to step out of my circle in order to give myself some air and a clearer vision. We are so engrossed in ourselves and our lives, working in and out, multitasking and balancing so many roles. How often it is that we lose the big picture while fidgeting with all that’s not urgent but need to be done anyhow (like checking emails, making dinner & refilling toilet paper!)
There are moments when you’re worn out and like Bilbo Baggins says ‘ feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread’. You feel dry, malnourished; unfocused and unsure till you slump down to the floor and whisper ‘what the heck am I doing’. Isn’t it time to take a break? To rejuvenate, to again remember why everything you’re doing is worthwhile, to again remember your purpose and goals.
The Chinese saying 休息是为了走更长远的路 means rest is for the longer road ahead. Now ain’t that true? (:
ps. I have a little left of A Moment In Peking, it’s a good read!
