Installation 2009, definitely one that’ll I remember.
Thankyou babies for the songs, the performances, the gifts, the smiles, the laughter, the tears, the support, the care, and the love.
It is very hard to describe what I was feeling the whole day. I was happy, to sit back and relax and enjoy what you guys had obviously been preparing for weeks. I was happy to see such great performances from you guys, happy to see you guys grow up, happy to read blogs that says you will now stand and lead and love the younger like how we all loved you.
I was sad because I won’t be scolding you guys anymore, won’t be able to teach and guide, won’t be able to walk with my friends to Choir room, won’t be able to have sectional practices, won’t be able to take attendance, won’t be able to perform with you guys, to see the funny faces you guys have when you’re singing, or the stupid things you do like changing the lyrics of the songs.
I joined Choir since I was form 2 and I never regretted a single moment. That is something I’m certain about. I think you can’t find stronger love in school except for your clubs if you’re committed, I am happy it was Choir. Somehow, there’s something that brings us together, I don’t know what is it, but I’m grateful for it.
There’s this one time I saw a senior standing alone, she looked very very troubled, I don’t talk to her much, we never really had conversations, it was always, small talk. So I asked her what happened? And then she told me a lot of stuff, about her life that was not going well. I comforted her and gave her a hug. She smiled and said: The funny thing is, we don’t really know each other well enough, but because we’re from Choir, we care about each other a lot, I can trust you, and I know you’ll understand, Choir is family. You got to love juniors too ok?
I just froze on the spot, don’t know what to say.
So thanks for everything (there’s too much for me to list out , haha). Choir has taught me right from wrong, inspired me to be better and more capable, shown me what friendship and companionship was about. You can find so many so many treasures at Choir if you just stayed a little longer. All the while, I was giving Choir everything I could afford, and it has given me back more than I deserve. When I flip and read the contents of the book you guys gave me, I know I have enough love to chase a lifetime of dreams.
Never hesitate to ask seniors for help, because Choir is my home, and you guys are my family. And that my dear, is something that will never ever change.
Last but not least, AH HEM, MIAW FEN, IF YOU WANT IT, JUMP! :D
